Purpose/Function:

Pin replicators for 864 and 384 well plate formats have been built and are used to stamp colonies and DNA directly to membranes. NC milled aluminum pin racks are attached directly to a standard Beckman Biomek tool body. Pins are manufactured using a screw turning machine with either pointed or blunt tips.

Operating Parameters:

• Transfer volume = 10 - 200 nanoliters (depending on pin)
• Number of pins = 384 or 864
