Linda Gunn Program Coordinator Research Interests:
Current Projects:
Educational Background:
What I am doing at the Lab: My main responsibility is to support Dr. Garner, organize and keep his schedule, and keep up with the daily business of running the lab. My second responsibility is all web related projects, either creating, maintaining or overseeing them. What I do outside the Lab: I
am pleased to share I completed my Bachelor's degree, a goal I set for myself
and completed in less than three years. I am
proud to say I did so with a 3.56 GPA and working 45 hour weeks! I have two
wonderful daughters, 23 and 25. The youngest graduated from U.T. at Austin
(Go
Longhorns), is married to another U.T. alumni and is working in her
field of study (marketing).
The eldest works full time and married her sweetheart last
October. We can officially say we are finished with weddings, unless we are
attending
one!
She hopes to be an elementary school librarian someday so school work is still
in her future. My husband is
from Perth Australia, he also works at U.T. Southwestern (in the Wooding lab),
and
we
love the H.O.V. lane from Lewisville to Dallas. We have two miniature cocker
spaniels (mine), one German shepherd (his), one red heeler (the eldest daughter's)
at home. My younger daughter brings her beagle to visit when she comes home.
I read every book I can get my hands
on now that they are not text books and I love to
make things with my hands. I sew, quilt, embroider, cross-stitch, make paper
roses and want to learn to crochet or knit. I also love to take pictures with
my daughters or flowers as my favorite subjects. And when time and inspiration
hits I write poetry. |
