Emphasis
With emphasis, a designer can control an observer's attention. Certain areas of a composition can be manipulated to standout or recede from the rest of its surroundings. Emphasis is achieved by manipulating design elements such as contrast(3,6,7,8)), size(1), space, placement, leading lines(4) or shapes(2,5) (Mundi).
