Space
Space itself is not a design element but it does become a part of a piece once the other elements are applied. The area containing the image created becomes the space holding the image as well as the distances between each element.

The illusion of three-dimensional space can be achieved with different techniques. By overlapping objects, using shading, and using linear or atmospheric perspective (Saw).
