Atmospheric Perspective
Atmospheric perspective refers to the hazy appearance of objects in the distance. This is most noticeable with far distances, when we look at mountains in the distance while driving for example. This is due to water vapor particles in the air as well as dust, fog, clouds and pollution. This phenomenon is characterized by more rich and contrasting colors being observed in the foreground and digressing to duller less contrasting colors in the background.
